Selam Children’s Village Founder Family
The famine that happened in Ethiopia in 1984/85 changed the course of Tsehay Röschli life. She watched horrible news on TV. She was living in Switzerland with her adoptive parents, Mr. David Röschli and Mrs. Maria Röschli, together with the entire Röschli family. She was really touched and decided to come back and serve the people. That is how she started Selam Children’s Village. Over the last 38 years, Selam Children’s Village has undergone massive changes and has become stronger and more efficient than ever before. She had started this organization, taking care of only 28 orphans in a small building with just a handful of workers and a very limited amount of resources. Starting from there until today, the organization has covered a long and evolutionary journey.
